By examining the socio-historical context of post-revolutionary Mexico, the systemic corruption of the era, and the gendered dynamics of power, this study deconstructs the mythos surrounding the González Valenzuela sisters. It explores how the case exposed the complicity of state authorities and the vulnerability of marginalized women, transforming the sisters into a dark archetype of female criminality in Mexican popular culture.
