"The Pale Blue Eye" is a 2022 American mystery drama film directed by Scott Cooper, who is known for his work on "Crazy Heart" and "Hostiles." The movie is based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Louis Bayard. The story takes place in 1830 at West Point Academy, where a series of mysterious deaths occur. Christian Bale stars as Augustus Landor, a retired detective who is tasked with solving the murders. As Landor delves deeper into the investigation, he teams up with a young cadet named Poe (played by Harry Madden).
