IEC 60364 is an international standard series developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) that sets out requirements for the design, erection and verification of electrical installations in buildings and similar structures. Its scope covers safety principles, protection against electric shock, thermal effects and overcurrent, selection and erection of equipment, earthing (grounding) and bonding, wiring systems, and verification procedures. As the accepted benchmark in many countries, IEC 60364 plays a central role in ensuring safe, reliable, and interoperable electrical installations worldwide.
