Duplicate or outdated .dll (Windows) or .vst (macOS) files are the most common cause of this error.
The most common cause of this error is a misalignment between the plugin’s internal configuration and the DAW’s project settings. For instance, if a DAW project is opened with settings that restrict the number of available audio outputs, or if the plugin is trying to recall a routing setup that no longer exists (perhaps due to a changed audio interface or a corrupted preference file), the bus layouts will fail to load.
