ArtCAM 2018 is no longer actively updated by Autodesk (it reached end-of-sale status). Therefore, managing your library files externally is critical for data preservation.
As of my last update, ArtCAM itself has undergone changes, and support for older versions might be limited. Autodesk's acquisition of ArtCAM led to the development of new products like Fusion 360, which also supports CAD/CAM functionalities.
