Third-party save editors are not official Ubisoft products. Unverified download links on forums, YouTube descriptions, or sketchy third-party sites are notorious for distributing malware, keyloggers, and adware.

Ubisoft’s newer updates (2023+) added integrity checks. You need to disable cloud saves in Uplay/Steam before launching the game. After loading the edited save once, you can re-enable cloud saves, but keep a local backup.
