The finale. The title is ironic. There is no hermitage left. We cut to five years later. Baba is in a regular prison, weaving carpets. He has lost his hair; he looks like an old man. A new inmate enters—a young, charming god-man who starts gathering followers inside the prison. Baba watches, and for the first time, a look of recognition crosses his face. The cycle is about to begin again. The final shot is a close-up of Bobby Deol’s eyes as he whispers, "Yeh khatam nahi hota" (This doesn’t end). Credits roll. Black screen. We hear a child chant: "Jai Nirala."
